COMPOSITION FOR 5 ML (1 TEASPOON) :
Dextromethorphane (INN) bromhydrate 7mg
Maleate chlorpheniramine (INN) 4mg
Menthol BP 1mg
Excipients q.s 1 bottle.
PROPERTIES :
The Dextromethorphane is a cough centers depressor, without any action on respiratory centers in normal doses.
The Chlorpheniramine is an antihistaminic active against allergic reactions.
INDICATIONS :
Dry cough.
Irritant cough.
Cough of allergic origin.
Tracheitis.
DOSAGE :
From 30 months to 6 years : 1 to 2 teaspoons each day.
From 6 to 15 : 3 teaspoons each day.
Adult : 6 teaspoons each day.
CONTRAINDICATIONS :
Children under 30 months.
Patients under OMAI treatment.
Asthmatic people.
Loose cough.
INTERACTIONS :
Contraindicated association : OMAI.
Inadvisable association : alcohol, depressor of central nervous system.
PRECAUTIONS AND WARNINGS :
In case of diabetes.
Do not associate with an expectorant.
ADVERSE EFFECTS :
Sometimes sleepiness, constipation, nausea, vomiting.
