M-Albend - Oral suspension 400mg/10ml

FORM AND PRESENTATION :Oral suspension, pink with mixed fruit flavour.
Bottle of 10ml.
COMPOSITION FOR ONE BOTTLE :
Albendazole (INN) 400mg.
Excipients for 1 bottle of 10ml.
EXCIPIENTS WITH KNOWN EFFECT :
Methylparaben, propylparaben, sorbitol.
PROPERTIES :
Anti-helminthic from benzimidazole family, very active against eggs, larva and worms. Highly active against nematodes, cestodes and most of intestinal worms.
INDICATIONS :
Intestinal parasitose due to one to several type of worm :
Taenia, Oxyure, Ankylostome, Ascaris, Trichocephale, Anguillule, Giardia, Trichine.
DOSAGE :
Purge or fast are not necessary.
Oxyurose : Half a bottle in one time, to be repeated after one week.
Ascaridiose, ankilostomose, trichocephalose : Children below 2 years, half a bottle in one time. Over 2 years old , one bottle in one time.
Anguillulose, taeniasis : One bottle each day for 3 days.
Giardiose : One bottle each day for 5 days.
Trichinellose : Treatment should be during 10 to 15 days. Children below 30kg, one bottle each day. Over 30kg, each day, one bottle in the morning and one in the evening.
CONTRAINDICATIONS :
Hypersensitivity to albendazole.
INTERACTIONS :
None.
PRECAUTIONS AND WARNINGS :
Avoid during pregnancy and breast-feeding.
ADVERSE EFFECTS :
Headache, gastro-intestinal troubles.
