FORM AND PRESENTATION :
White, round and flat tablet.
Box of 30 tablets with blister of 10.
COMPOSITION PER TABLET :
Ginkgo Biloba (dry extract) 40mg
with active components :
Flavon glycosides > 24 %
Bilobalides and ginkgolides > 6 %
Excipients q.s 1 tablet.
PROPRIETES :
It is a peripheral vasodilator. It improves peripheral circulation and stimulation of nerve cells.
INDICATIONS :
- Deficit pathological cognitive and neurosensory chronic memory problems and concentration
of elderly.
- Reduction of acuity and visual disorders of vascular origin.
- Decreased hearing and vertiginous syndromes of vascular origin.
- Disorders of the peripheral circulation (intermittent claudication, Raynaud's disease).
DOSAGE :
1 to 2 tablets 3 times daily during at least 4 weeks.
CONTRAINDICATIONS :
Hypersensitivity to the drug.
INTERACTIONS :
Ginkgo should not be used with anticoagulants such as heparin, warfarin or aspirin.
Ginkgo may reduce the effect of omeprazole, carbamazepin and some antidepressants
such as trazodone.
PRECAUTIONS AND WARNING :
As Ginkgo is a blood thinner, it should not be used in case of bleeding disorders such as
hemophilia, surgery or during childbirth.
Ginkgo is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
ADVERSE EFFECTS :
Rarely : headache, digestive disorders, skin disorders.
