FORM AND PRESENTATION :
White, round and flat tablet.
Box of 3 blisters of 10 tablets.

COMPOSITION PER TABLET :
Ketoconazole (INN)            200mg.
Excipients q.s                     1 tablet.

EXCIPIENTS WITH KNOWN EFFECT :
Starch.

PROPERTIES :
Oral antifungal.
Ketoconazol is an imidazol class of systemic antifungal.
Active against Candida, Torulopsis, Cryptococcus, Pityrosporum; Blastomyces, Histoplasma, Coccidioides, Paracoccidioides; Geotrichum, Drechslera longirostrata; Epidermophyton; sub-cutaneous mycosis agents; Petriellidium boydii, Hendersonula Toruloidea, Madurella; Basidiobolus ranarum; Fonsecaea pedrosoi.

INDICATIONS :
Systemic and visceral infections treatment.
Prevention of fungal infection with immuno-depressive.
Treatment of cutaneo-mucosic infection when local treatment is not efficient or when there is resistance to current anti-fungal.

DOSAGE :
Swallow one tablet during a meal.
Dosage is usually one tablet each day. In case of deep mycosis dosage should be 2 tablets each day.

CONTRAINDICATIONS :
Hypersensitivity to ketoconazole.

INTERACTIONS :
Avoid any association with Tacrolimus, Atorvastatine, Simvastatine, Cerivastatine, Astemizole, Terfenadine, Mizolastine, Cisapride, Bepridil, Pimozide, Triazolam et Nevirapine.

PRECAUTIONS AND WARNINGS :
Avoid during pregnancy and breast-feeding period.

ADVERSE EFFECTS :
Rarely, digestive troubles, nausea, diarrhea, cephalalgia, vertigo, taste alteration, cutaneous reactions.
