M-Oflox - Tablet 200mg

FORM AND PRESENTATION :
Pelliculed white, round tablet.
Box of one blister of 10 tablets.

COMPOSITION PER TABLET :
Ofloxacine (INN)                200mg.
Excipients q.s                     1 tablet.

EXCIPIENTS WITH KNOWN EFFECT :
Lactose.

PROPERTIES :
Antibiotic from the fluoroquinolone family. It's activity spectrum is broader than for aminoglycosides other fluoroquinolones.
Ofloxacine is very active against Colibacillus, Klebsielles, Proteus, Salmonelles, Shigelles, Yersinia, Haemophilus, Neisseria, Campilobacter, Vibrio, Staphylococcus, Mycoplasma, Legionella.

INDICATIONS :
Adult : in genital and urinary tract infections, gastrointestinal, respiratory, skin and bones infections due to ofloxacin sensitive bacteria.

DOSAGE :
Swallow the tablets with a meal.
Severe genital or urinary tract infection, gastrointestinal, respiratory, skin and bones infections : 1 to 3 tablets a day, taken in 2 to 3 time.
Acute cystite with women under 65 years old : 2 tablet in one time.
Reccuring cystite with women over 65 years old : 2 tablets each day during 5 days.

CONTRAINDICATIONS :
Hypersensitivity to the product.
Pregnancy, breast feeding, children below 6 years. 

INTERACTIONS :
Effect of oral anticoagulant and theophyllin is stronger if taken with ofloxacin.
Antacid, sucralfate, iron may lower absorption of ofloxacin.

PRECAUTIONS AND WARNINGS :
Drink much water during treatment. Avoid exposure to sunlight.
Use with caution in patient with epilepsy. Stop treatment if tendonitis appear and call your prescriber.

ADVERSE EFFECTS :
Sometimes gastrointestinal reactions, skin, joints or muscular troubles.
