M-Clarithro - Tablet 250mg

FORM AND PRESENTATION :
Yellow and oblong pelliculed tablet.

COMPOSITION PER TABLET :
Clarithromycine (INN)      250mg.
Excipients for one tablet.

EXCIPIENTS WITH KNOWN EFFECT :
None.

PROPERTIES :
Macrolide antibacterial antibiotic from erythromycine active against Streptococcus, Staphylococcus meti-S, Helicobacter pylori, Campylobacter jejuni, Corynebacterium diphteria, Mycoplasma pneumonia, Chlamydia, Legionella, Moraxella, Neisseria,Treponema,  Haemophilus.

INDICATIONS :
Allergy to betalactamines.
Respiratory and ENT (Ear, Nose, Throat) infection.
Kidney, urogenital or gynecologic infections.
Dermatologic and stomatologic infections.
Prophylaxy of AAR relapse (Acute Articular Rheumatism).

DOSAGE :
Sorethroat, stomatologic infection, benign cutaneous infection :  500mg each day, dived in 2 intakes.
Bronchial infections :  500mg to 1g each day in 2 intakes.
Acute sinusitis and pneumopathies:  1g each day in 2 intakes.
Eradication of Helicobacter :  Each morning and evening, M-Clarithro 500mg + Amoxicilline 1g + Oméprazole 20mg, during 7 days. Then only Oméprazole 20mg each day during 3 weeks in case of evolutive duodenal ulcer or 5 weeks in case of evolutive gastric ulcer.

CONTRAINDICATIONS :
Allergy to macrolides.
Some medicines associations (see below)

INTERACTIONS :
Associations not indicated : Rye smut vaso-constrictors (ergotamin, dihydro-ergotamin), cisapride, mizolastine, pimozide, bépridil. Anti-histaminiques non-sédatifs.
Associations déconseillées : Tacrolimus, Halofantrine, Colchicine, all statines, Cabergoline, Pergolide, Ebastine, Toltérodine, Carbamazépine, Théophylline, Aminophylline.

PRECAUTIONS AND WARNINGS :
Liver failure (hepatic), pregnancy, breat-feeding.

ADVERSE EFFECTS :
Frequent digestive troubles : diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, gastric pain.
Rare allergic troubles.
