M-Lindane - Lotion 1%

FORM AND PRESENTATION :
Incolor lotion in a bottle of 100ml.

COMPOSITION FOR 1 BOOTTLE :
Lindane USP 1%
Aqueous base q.s 100ml

EXCIPIENTS WITH KNOWN EFFECT :
Methyl Para-Hydroxybenzoate.
Propyl Para-Hydroxybenzoate.

PROPERTIES :
Scabicid.
Lice and nits killer.

INDICATIONS :
Treatment of scabies (itch).
Treatment of pediculosis.

DOSAGE :
Treatment of scabies (itch) :
The skin should be dry and cold before applying to avoid transdermal crossing.
Apply the lotion in thin and uniform layer on thr whole body, insisting on hands, feet and inter-finger space.
Let it applied 6 to 12 hours, then rinse widely with soapy warm water.
Generally, one application is enough. In case of verified failure, a second application should be done after 8 days.
Treat all the family members in the same time, even without any clinical sign. Disinfect clothes and bedding.
Treatment of pediculosis :
Apply the lotion on the dry hair in order to impregnate the whole part which have to be treated.
Let it applied 3 to 5 minutes then rinse and wash with a soft shampoo.
Repeat after 24 hours.

CONTRAINDICATIONS :
Do not use with children under 2 years and when pregnant.

INTERACTIONS :
Avoid using oil on the skin which can increase a transdermal crossing of lindane.

PRECAUTIONS AND WARNINGS :
Avoid contact with the eyes.
In case of accidental ingestion, consult the doctor.

ADVERSE EFFECTS:
Risk of convulsion and hematologic accident in case of systemic passing (wounded skin), in children under 2 years.
Eczema, local irritation, cutaneous allergy.
