M-Clotrimazole - Dermic cream 1%

FORM AND PRESENTATION :
Dermic cream in tube of 20g

COMPOSITION :
Clotrimazole (INN)    BP    200mg.
Excipients q.s.                 20g

EXCIPIENTS WITH KNOWN EFFECT :
Methyl Para-Hydroxybenzoate
Propyl Para-Hydroxybenzoate

PROPERTIES :
Antimycosic, antifungal of imidazole group, active against most of fungus as candida and other yeasts.
It has also an antibacterial activity against gram+.

INDICATIONS :
Treatment of pityriasis versicolor, dermatophytis of smooth skin, athlet's foot, bend candidosis, angular cheilitis, vulvite and anal candidosis, tinea.

DOSAGE :
Sufficient cream should be applied to cover affected  areas twice daily. Treatment have to be continue during 2 to 4 weeks.

CONTRAINDICATIONS :
Hypersensitivity to clotrimazole or any other components of the cream.

INTERACTIONS :
None

PRECAUTIONS AND WARNINGS :
Avoid contact with the eyes.
Should not be used during the first trimester of pregnancy.
Do not use alone in nails infection or tinea.
 
ADVERSE EFFECTS :
Topical preparations can cause sensitization and allergy, in which case treatment should be stopped.
