FORM AND PRESENTATION :
Dermic gel in 15g tube

COMPOSITION :
Adapalene (INN)    BP 0,1% w/w
Excipients  qs        15g

EXCIPIENTS WITH KNOWN EFFECT :
Methyl Para-Hydroxybenzoate

PROPERTIES :
Adapalene is a stable retinoïd derivative with potent anti-acneic local effect, with anti-inflammatory property. It also modulate proliferation which allows skin lesion reduction. It is frequently used in polytherapy to treat acne vulgaris.

INDICATIONS :
M-Adapalene Gel is indicated for local treatment of acne vulgaris, in association or not with other anti-acneic medicines. 

DOSAGE :
A thin film of M-Adapalene Gel should be applied in the evenings on the affected area, avoiding  eyes and mouth. The skin should be clean and dry. During the early days of the therapy an apparent exacerbation of acne should not be considered a reason to discontinue therapy. One should visit again the doctor by 3 months of therapy.

CONTRAINDICATIONS :
Hypersensitivity to adapalene or any other components of the vehicle gel.

INTERACTIONS :
None

PRECAUTIONS AND WARNINGS :
If hypersensitivity occurs, the use should be discontinued or stopped. Application to sunburn, cuts, abrasions, eczematous skin should be avoided. Protect from sun during treatment. Concomitant use of medicated or abrasive products should be used in caution.
 
ADVERSE EFFECTS :
Sensation of burning and pruritus may be expected during treatment and will usually lessen with continued use of the product.
