M-Nifedipine - Tablet 10mg

FORM AND PRESENTATION
Light yellow, round and flat breakable tablet.
Box of 3 blisters of 10 tablets.

COMPOSITION FOR 1 TABLET
Nifedipine (INN) BP 10mg

PROPERTIES
Calcic antagonist belonging to the dihydropyridine family.
Anti-angorous.
Decrease in arterial vascular tonus provoking thus a peripheral and coronary vasodilatation.

INDICATIONS
Prevention of angina pectoris crisis.
Stable angor in association with Beta-bloquants.
Raynaud syndrome.
Arterial hypertension crisis.

DOSAGE
1 to 4 tablets each day according to the seriousness of the affection.

CONTRAINDICATIONS
Hypersensitivity to nifedipine.
Myocardial infarction dated less than one month.
Unstable angor.
Pregnancy and Lactation.

INTERACTIONS
The association with other anti-hypertension can reinforce their action.
Association with cimetidine : increase in hyptensor effect of nifedipine by inhibition of catabolism of nifedipine.

PRECAUTIONS AND WARNINGS
Prudence is recommended in case of unstable hemodynamic conditions (risk of collapses, hypovolemy, cardiogenic shock).
In case of stable angor in those having coronary, first treat by a Beta-bloquant.
In monotherapy, nifedipine is not a treatment of angor crisis happening at the acute phase of myocardial infarction.  

ADVERSE EFFECTS
In general, because of the peripheral vasodilatation, particularly at the beginning of the treatment : leg edema, cephalalgia, vertigo, nausea.
