FORM AND PRESENTATION :
White, round, flat tablet with a single breakline on one side.
Box of 3 blisters of 10 tablets.
COMPOSITION PER TABLET :
Nicardipine (INN) 20 mg
(as Nicardipine hydrochloride)
Excipients q.s 1tablet.
EXCIPIENTS WITH KNOWN EFFECT :
None
PROPERTIES :
Selective calcic inhibitor.
INDICATIONS :
Arterial hypertension treatment.
DOSAGE :
Swallow the prescribed dose before meal.
Usually the dosage should be 1 tablet 3 times each day.
This dosage can be increased up to 90mg per day.
CONTRAINDICATIONS :
Unstable angor and less than one month myocardial infarction.
Hypersensitivity to Nicardipine.
INTERACTIONS :
Nicardipine should not be associated with antiepileptic, imipraminic antidepressant, neuroleptic, baclofene, ciclosporine, tacrolimus, itraconazole, rifampicine, corticosteroid, beta-blocker.
PRECAUTIONS AND WARNINGS :
A short term treatment can bring to a rapid blood pressure fall with reflex tachycaria.
Avoid during pregnancy and breast feeding.
ADVERSE EFFECTS :
Legs edema, cephalalgia, vertigo, nausea.
Rarely digestive troubles.
