FORM AND PRESENTATIONWhite, round and flat breakable tablet.
Box of 30 tablets in 3 blisters.
COMPOSITION FOR 1 TABLET
Maleate Enalapril (INN) USP 10mg
PROPERTIES
Angiotensin Converting Enzyme (ACE) inhibitor.
INDICATIONS
Arterial hypertension.
Heart deficiency.
Dysfunction of left ventricle.
DOSAGE
Take before, during or after meals a progressive dose from 2,5mg with tension supervision.
Usual dose :
Arterial hypertension : 20mg each day, in 1 intake.
Heart deficiency : 20mg each day, to divide twice.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
Past history of angio-edema linked to intake of ACE inhibitor.
Hyperkaliemy.
Pregnancy, lactation.
Hypersensitivity to enalapril.
INTERACTIONS
Any association with drugs that save potassium or hyperkaliemiant as well as lithium and by-products.
PRECAUTIONS AND WARNINGS
Stop the diuretics 3 days before the intake of enalapril or adjust the dose, then supervise the blood pressure.
In case of anesthesia: correct the depletion of sodium if need be.
ADVERSE EFFECTS
Dry cough.
Allergic reactions.
Vasomotor disturbances.
