M-Diclofenac - Injection 75mg

DESCRIPTIONClear colorless solution for injection in 3ml auto-breakable ampoule.
COMPOSITION FOR 1 AMPOULE INJECTION
Diclofenac (INN) sodique BP 75mg
PROPERTIES
Potent non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) with analgesic and antipyretic properties.
Diclofenac inhibits production of prostaglandines.
Also active against platelets function.
INDICATIONS
Symptomatic treatment of inflammatory rheumatism.
Tendonitis, periarthritis, lumbago, arthrosis, gout crisis.
Post-trauma pain, post-surgery pain, dental pain.
Nephric colitis crisis.
DOSAGE
1 to 2 deep intramuscular injection each day, for 2 days. If needed relay with oral diclofenac.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
Hypersensitivity to diclofenac or any other non-steroidal antiinflammatory drug.
Hepatic or renal impairment.
Children under 15 years.
INTERACTIONS
Concomitant administration of diclofenac is not recommended with aspirin or any other NSAIDs or anticoagulants.
PRECAUTIONS AND WARNINGS
In late pregnancy, lactation.
Association with diuretics or Angiotensin Converting Enzyme (ACE) inhibitor.
ADVERSE EFFECTS
The most frequent adverse effects are gastrointestinal as epigastric pain, nausea, vomiting.
Rarely peptic ulcer.
Skin reactions such as rash or pruritus.
