FORM AND PRESENTATION
Orange, round and flat gastro-resistant tablet
10 tablets by blister.
COMPOSITION FOR 1 TABLET
Diclofenac (INN) 50mg
(as sodic diclofenac BP)
PROPERTIES
Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) with an antialgic and antipyretic effect.
Diclofenac inhibits production of prostaglandines.
Also active against platelet function.
INDICATIONS
Symptomatic treatment during long chronic inflammatory rheumatism.
Short symptomatic treatment of acute attacks of abarticular rheumatism.
Tendinitis, periarthrite, lumbago, osteoarthrisis, bout of gout.
Essential dysmenorrhoea.
DOSAGE
Adults :
For an attack treatment : 3 tablets each day, in three intakes.
For a keep treatment : 1 to 2 tablets each day, in two intakes.
Child:
25 to 100mg, in 2 or 3 intakes a day.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
Allergy to diclofenac and to any NSAID.
Evolutive gastro-duodenal ulcer or past history of ulcer.
Renal or hepatic deficiency.
Children under one year.
INTERACTIONS
It is strongly advised against associating the diclofenac with :
other NSAID, oral anti-coagulants and CEI.
PRECAUTIONS AND WARNINGS
Late pregnancy and lactation.
Association with diuretics.
ADVERSE EFFECTS
Digestive accidents : esophagites, gastritis.
Hematological accidents : such as rare leucopenies.
Awareness accidents : pruritus, urticaria, Quincke’s, edema, asthma.
