M-Diclo LP - Tablet 100mg



Leaflet;indication

FORM AND PRESENTATION :
Slow release tablet, pelliculed, yellow, round and flat.
Box of 2 blisters of 10 tablets.

COMPOSITION PER TABLET :
Diclofenac (DCI)              100mg.
(as diclofenac sodium).
Excipients for one tablet.

EXCIPIENTS WITH KNOWN EFFECT :
Lactose.

PROPERTIES :
Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory drug (NSAID) with slow release effect and with analgesic and antipyretic effect.
Inhibitor of prostaglandines synthesis.
Inhibitor of platelet aggregation.

INDICATIONS :
Long term treatment of chronic inflammatory rheumatism, acute gout, arthrosis, lumbago, periarthritis, tendinitis, essential dysmenorrhea.

DOSAGE :
Intake should be during a meal with a full glass of water.
Maintenance treatment :
One tablet of M-Diclo LP 100mg each evening.
Starting treatment :
One tablet of M-Diclo LP 100mg each morning and each evening, during not more than 7 days.

CONTRAINDICATIONS :
Hypersensitivity to diclofenac and to any NSAID.
Acute gastro-duodenal ulcer, kidney, cardiac or hepatocellular  impairment not controlled.
Pregnancy over 24 weeks.

INTERACTIONS :
Association with other AINS (including high dose of aspirine) should increase hemorrhagic and ulcer risk.
Avoid therapeutic association with conversion enzyme inhibitor, angiotensine II inhibitor, heparines, lithium, methotrexate.

PRECAUTIONS AND WARNINGS :

Diclofenac should be taken under strict medical monitoring before the 24th week of pregnancy.
Avoid during period of breast-feeding.

ADVERSE EFFECTS :
Digestive accidents : oesophagites, gastritis.
Hypersensitivity accidents : pruritus, Quincke oedema, asthma.
