FORM AND PRESENTATION
Limpid and pink syrup. Strawberry flavor.
100ml bottle.

COMPOSITION FOR 5ML (ONE TEASPOON)
Promethazine (INN) 5mg
(as chlorydrate promethazine BP)

PROPERTIES
Antihistaminic of the phenothiazine family by action to peripheral and central H1 receptors.
Weakly atropinic and sedative effect.

INDICATIONS
Hay fever, coryza, tracheitis.
Quincke’s edema.
Allergic food or drug reactions.
Urticaria, itching.
Insomnia, travel sickness.

DOSAGE
Adults : 5 to 10 teaspoons each day.
Children higher than 12 years : 2 teaspoons, 4 times a day.
Children from 5 to 12 years : 2 teaspoons, 2 to 3 times a day.
2 to 5 years : 1 teaspoon, 3 times a day.
1 to 2 years : 1 teaspoons, 2 times a day.

CONTRAINDICATIONS
Glaucoma.
Uretro-prostatic disturbances.
Pregnancy, lactation.

INTERACTIONS
Alcohol : increase by alcohol in the sedative effect of promethazine.
Atropine and by-products: addition of undesirable effects of urinary retention type, constipation, mouth dryness.
Depressors of SNC : increase in effects of central depression.

PRECAUTIONS AND WARNINGS
Take into consideration the risk of sleepiness after the use of this product.

ADVERSE EFFECTS
Sleepiness.
Atropinic effects of the type of: urinary retention, mouth dryness, viscosity of bronchial secretions, accommodation disturbances, constipation, mental confusion or excitation in aged person.
Excitation phenomena in children and infants.
