Mbale — The patient admitted to Mbale hospital last week on suspicion of having the deadly Ebola virus is gradually improving.
The Uganda Virus Research Institute, recently disclosed that blood samples taken from him tested negative for the Ebola virus.
Jessica Asege, a senior nursing officer attending to the patient said the bleeding through the nose, ears and mouth had stopped except for the diarrhea that still had blood.
"We have taken his stool for laboratory tests to ascertain the exact cause of the bleeding.
Otherwise the patient has started eating and can speak, though with difficulty," she said.
